Good Boost is a water-based rehabilitation programme designed to be fun and beneficial for people with a range of health issues.
Also known as aquatic therapy, water-based rehabilitation is highly regarded for a range of musculoskeletal conditions.
Established in 2014, Good Boost stems from the belief that aquatic therapy should be both affordable and easy to access.
Before your first session, a trained Good Boost practitioner will conduct an initial poolside assessment, to collate information regarding your current condition and any aims or goals you may have.
The information provided is used to assess your condition and plan a unique programme, just for you. Each session lasts about an hour and is led by qualified Good Boost practitioners, so someone is always on hand if you should have any questions.
Therapeutic aquatic exercise as a healthcare intervention for a range of musculoskeletal conditions is highly regarded and the use of water in therapy has been used for hundreds of years.
Research has shown that such aquatic rehabilitation programmes are beneficial for a range of conditions including back pain, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, hip and knee joint replacements, joint sprains, shoulder rehabilitation and general fitness.
Good Boost's mission is to introduce affordable, easy to access physiotherapy sessions in local pools nationwide.
